About Heeren Huijs

Set on a generous 6 000 m² erf in the heart of the Overberg, Heeren Huijs is a refined coastal sanctuary designed for rest, reconnection, and quiet beauty. Thoughtfully envisioned in collaboration with acclaimed architect Karen Newman, the home is carefully positioned to honour its natural surroundings - where land, light, and sea converge in effortless harmony.

The residence offers six beautifully appointed bedrooms, each intentionally designed to evoke a sense of calm and coastal ease. Soft textures, natural materials, and considered proportions invite guests to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel at home.

At the core of Heeren Huijs lies a clear philosophy: a move away from excess, and toward meaningful simplicity.

The aesthetic draws on organic textures, earthy tones, and a deep reverence for Cape Dutch heritage - reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Every detail is purposeful, tactile, and quietly luxurious.

Heeren Huijs is more than a place to stay; it is a celebration of South African heritage infused with modern elegance. From sunrise to sunset, the home offers a gentle rhythm - one that honours stillness, beauty, and a life well lived.

Welcome to a retreat where authenticity leads, and the heart finds its true home.
